About me

It would be presumptuous of me to claim that I offer the best tours in Bratislava, but I’m definitely getting there, LOL.
It´s like the guys from AC/DC sing in one of their songs: It´s a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll!

Four to five years ago, at the beginning of my career in tourism, my first gig was giving free walking tours (big cheers to Jakub for giving me the opportunity). Then I became a freelancer and worked for different travel companies where I either did private tours in Bratislava or drove people around Slovakia and Central Europe as well. For me, it was the genealogy and ancestry tours in Slovakia that posed the biggest challenge whilst giving me emotional and mental enrichment. These tours were kind of different,  as I could put a lot of myself into them and make things way more personal. Overall, I enjoy interacting with others on a deeper level and I need to make the tours more engaging and customized in order to be able to do that.  That’s the main reason for me to branch out on my own.  My passion for the outdoors, my relentless drive to understand things from their historical perspective,  my ability to communicate ideas and knowledge to others in a witty and humorous manner, are all reasons why I love this job and why it makes me fulfilled – all this in my spare time, as I still need a full-time job to survive. But I hope that’s going to change very soon…
